High-Tech Metals (ASX:HTM) has executed a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Wiluna Mining as they advance discussions regarding the potential for toll treatment of ore from High-Tech’s Mt Fisher Project at Wiluna’s processing facility in Western Australia.
The MoU sets out a framework for the future toll treatment arrangement, where Wiluna would receive, crush, mill, and treat the gold-bearing ore using its existing infrastructure. This work is subject to the ore meeting Wiluna’s technical and metallurgical specifications.
The MoU does not create an obligation on either party. It reflects a shared intent between the two companies to evaluate a toll treatment solution that supports an efficient pathway for the ore from High-Tech’s Mt Fisher and Mt Eureka projects.
Access to an established, large-scale processing facility in the region is a strategic goal for High-Tech Metals as they move to advance mine planning, logistics, and funding opportunities.
CEO James Merrillees says that the MoU “provides a constructive framework to evaluate potential toll treatment options using existing regional infrastructure”.
“Importantly, it aligns with our strategy of pursuing capital-efficient development options and positions High-Tech to unlock value from our Mt Fisher and Mt Eureka projects in a disciplined and timely manner.”
These discussions are taking place alongside ongoing technical studies and allow High-Tech to advance production and other plans at the same time.
High-Tech Metals is focused on advancing its gold portfolio in Western Australia.
