Green Critical Minerals scales up graphite output

Green Critical Minerals (ASX:GCM) is scaling up its very high density (VHD) production plant graphite production output to support the group’s global distribution strategy and the anticipated demand. 

Managing Director Clinton Booth says the company is shifting into active commercial execution, focusing on fulfilling demand, scaling output, and maintaining product quality at volume. 

“We’ve made key operational optimisations to ensure our processes are efficient, scalable, and capable of consistently delivering high-quality product,” Booth says. 

“We’re building inventory in preparation of customer orders and significant demand increase.”

Green Critical Minerals, which has a market capitalisation of $79.61 million, is also advancing strategic initiatives aimed at showing the full potential of the VHD graphite technology. 

Booth notes the early engagements provide critical product validation, help refine the production cycles, and gives the company confidence in the ability to scale without delay. 

“We’re solving a real technology challenge that exists today and we’re doing it with speed, flexibility, and precision,” he says. 

Discussions are underway to establish a university and industry linkage partnership focused on confirming and promoting the thermal performance of VHD materials. 

The partnership aims to support collaborative research and development, as well as generate independent data that outlines the advantages of VHD graphite in advanced thermal applications to the high-performance computing and artificial intelligence/data centre server sectors. 

Green Critical Minerals notes the program will target developing computational models and physical prototypes to show VHD’s performance benefits to key end users. 

The efforts are anticipated to support deeper engagement across the electronics and infrastructure sectors, while also reinforcing the company’s position as a developer of high-performance thermal solutions. 

This news comes after the company recently commissioned a production plant operational, with manufacturing of VHD graphite blocks up to 60 by 100 by 60mm, with manufacturing of blocks up to 160mm in thickness and 200mm in length underway. 

Green Critical says customers have received samples with testing programs ongoing. 

In preparation for further commercial sampling and prototyping, Green Critical has begun building a diverse inventory of sample stock. 

A variety of product sizes and geometries are benign manufactured. Production capacity has also been strengthened through adding two new furnaces, increasing throughput. 

VHD technology represents a near-term advanced technology which produces commercial very high density graphite blocks with material properties, some of which have never been achieved before in commercial mass market graphite production. 

Green Critical Minerals is a producer and supplier of high-margin industrial mineral products.
