Green Battery Minerals (TSX-V:GEM) is attending the Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) convention in Toronto during 3-6 March 2024.
The company says North American graphite prices are driven by growing demand for ex-China graphite and as such it is an ideal time to have a booth at PDAC at the Toronto Convention Centre.
Up to 30,000 attendees from 130-plus countries are expected this year to experience educational programs, networking events, and generating business opportunities.
Green Battery Minerals is managed by a team with over 150 years of collective experience of not just finding numerous mines but building and operating them as well. The Green Battery Minerals management team’s most recent success is discovering the Berkwood graphite resource in Northern Québec.
Berkwood is located in Quebec, in the Manicouagan Regional County Municipality, 3 hours driving time from the city of Baie-Comeau. Access is provided via a major secondary road and numerous tertiary and forest roads that traverse the property.
The Zone 1 resource lies 8km southwest of Nouveau Monde Graphite’s deposit which has a $3.5 billion NPV. The company believes its Zone 1 resource and that of Nouveau Monde share many similar geological characteristics with the Zone 1 resource being one of the highest-grade graphite resources in the world.
The current mineral resource at the Berkwood Graphite Project includes in-pit constrained resources totalling 1,755,300 tonnes of indicated resources at 17% Cgr and 1.526 million tonnes in inferred resources at 16.39% Cgr.
Meanwhile, Clean Air Metals (TSX-V:AIR) will also descend on the convention as it continues to focus on refining the Escape down-plunge target at its Thunder Bay North Critical Minerals project, as reported by Mining.com.au.
Clean Air COO Mike Garbutt says the results of current work programs places Clean Air in “a great position” for when the PGMs market improves.
PDAC is a platform promoting the mining industry in Canada, a sector that supports 664,000 people in direct and indirect employment and contributes C$132 billion to Canada’s GDP every year.
Since its inception in 1932, PDAC has grown in size, stature, and influence with more than 1,100 exhibitors and 700 speakers representing the world’s mineral industry attending each year.
