Great Southern Mining Mon Ami Gold Project in Laverton, Western Australia

Great Southern makes its move at Mon Ami

Great Southern Mining (ASX:GSN) has commenced reverse circulation (RC) drilling at its Mon Ami Gold Project, located 12km south of Laverton in Western Australia.

The 3,000m program is designed to test extensions of known mineralisation within the existing JORC resource of 1.56 million tonnes at 1.11g/t gold for 55,500 ounces.

Drilling will also test targets 250m north of the current resource. Mon Ami sits on the Barnicoat Shear, which hosts multiple gold deposits to the north, including the Barnicoat Mine and Ida H Mine owned by Genesis Minerals (ASX:GMD).

The program will test depth extensions and follow up on previous high‑grade intercepts.

Mon Ami forms part of a larger drilling campaign across the company’s Western Australian projects, which will comprise up to 20,000m of RC drilling.

Following the three‑week program at Mon Ami, the drill rig will mobilise to the Golden Boulder discovery, where mineralisation has been outlined over 3.5km.

Drilling will then move to the Amy Clarke discovery, where mineralisation extends over 4.7km.

Great Southern is fully funded for all planned drilling activities, having recently settled the final tranche of a $4.6 million equity placement in early June.

Mon Ami is located within trucking distance of multiple operating and emerging gold processing facilities.

Great Southern Mining is an Australian gold explorer with a 100% interest in advanced exploration projects across Western Australia’s Laverton region and north Queensland.
