Great Boulder rolls out ‘important’ step for Side Well development

Great Boulder Resources (ASX:GBR) has appointed Natalia Streltsova and Peter Lester to be a part of its Technical Advisory Panel, as the company progresses developing the Side Well Gold Project in Western Australia.

The advisory group will support Great Boulder towards scoping and feasibility studies for Side Well.

Streltsova is a mineral processing and metallurgy specialist with more than 30 years’ experience. She is also a non-executive director at Ramelius Resources (ASX:RMS) and Centaurus Metals (ASX:CTM).

Lester is a mining engineer with more than 40 years’ experience in corporate and operational roles. He is also a non-executive director of Gateway Mining (ASX:GML) and Aurora Energy Metals (ASX:1AE).

Both Streltsova and Lester will be working alongside the existing panel of technical experts including Scott Halley, Terry Hoschke, and Tony Crawford.

Managing Director Andrew Paterson says these appointments are an “important” step as the company progresses toward development of the Side Well Project.

“Since Great Boulder’s inception we have had strong support from some of the best geoscientists in Australia who have provided guidance and helped optimise our exploration strategy, while also playing a key role in the initial discovery of high-grade gold at Side Well,” Paterson says.

“With a Side Well resource update pending, we believe that now is the right time to broaden Great Boulder’s technical skill set to include mining, metallurgy and project development, to drive the project forward.”

Following the completion of priority holes at Eaglehawk and Mulga Bill, the drill rig has switched to aircore drilling.

Aircore drilling aims to define the northern extension of the contact-related dacite target at Eaglehawk, where the company is targeting further contact related, high-grade gold vein-hosted mineralisation.

The company notes assays are pending for 22 aircore holes drilled across targets to the northwest of the Saltbush prospect in February, as well as 16 reverse circulation holes completed at Eaglehawk and Mulga Bill.

Great Boulder is a mineral explorer focused on a portfolio of prospective gold and base metals assets in Western Australia.

The gold price has breached the US$3,000 barrier and as of this morning (19 March) was sitting at US$3,044 an ounce. UBS has raised its gold price target to US$3,200 on the continued strong demand. The Swiss investment bank expects it could get to this level possibly as early as June, as reported by Mining.com.au.

Macquarie predicts the gold price will reach US$3,500 in Q2 2025, while Goldman Sachs expects the precious metal to hit US$3,100 an ounce in 2025.
