Great Boulder Resources rocks out with additional ‘high-grade’ gold at Mulga Bill

Great Boulder Resources (ASX:GBR) has uncovered more ‘high-grade’ gold from recent drilling Mulga Bill, located within the Side Well Gold Project in Western Australia.

The company reports assays have been received for the final 3 holes from phase one drilling at Mulga Bill. ‘Significant’ intersections recorded include hole 23MBRC011 with 9m @ 27.29g/t Au from 240m, including 1m @ 175/50g/t Au from 241m; and hole 23MBRC012 with 7m @ 2.83g/t Au from 97m, including 2m @ 6.30g/t Au from 102m.

Commenting on the ‘high-grade’ assays, Great Boulder Resources Managing Director, Andrew Paterson says: “Assays from the final 3 holes of our Phase 1 Mulga Bill program include a very high-grade intersection of 9m @ 27.29g/t Au.

This is the eastern lode we discovered in September last year, about 90m east of the HGV zone at the north end of Mulga Bill.

“Initial assays have also been received for some of the AC holes drilled in March”

Initial assays have also been received for some of the AC holes drilled in March. These are adding definition around the Flagpole prospect at the southern end of the 6km Mulga Bill corridor. We will use that data to plan more RC drilling there shortly.”

In addition, Great Boulder states that the ‘high-grade’ result uncovered in hole 23MBRC011 boosts confidence in the eastern lode at the north end of Mulga Bill. This lode remains open both up and down dip as well as along strike, and additional drilling will be designed to test these positions.

Great Boulder reports that the challenge reverse circulation (RC) rig is expected to be back onsite the week of 17 April 2023 to begin phase two drilling programs at Ironbark and Mulga Bill prospects.

Additionally, the current aircore (AC) drilling campaign is expected to finalise within a fortnight.

Great Boulder Resources is a mineral exploration company with a portfolio of ‘highly’ prospective gold and base metals assets. These assets range from greenfields to advanced exploration, located in Western Australia.
