Great Boulder drills deeper, strikes gold

Great Boulder Resources (ASX:GBR) has announced new assay results from the Side Well Gold Project near Meekatharra in Western Australia, demonstrating ‘high-grade’ mineralisation below the 1 million ounce resource.

Seven diamond holes were drilled at Ironbark in the December quarter with the goal of gaining new geotechnical information for the open pit mine planning and also to intersect the Ironbark resource.

Assays remain pending for two holes. Key highlights from those results received include 15.32m @ 8.85 grams per tonne gold from 125.38m, including 5.3m @ 23.09g/t gold from 129m, and 1.08m @ 9.16g/t gold from 179.24m, including 0.36m @ 16.25g/t gold from 179.24m.

These results indicate the deepest high-grade intersection at Ironbark to date, with the potential for additional high-grade mineralisation beneath the current resource of 122,000 ounces.

These results follow results from December 2025, as reported, where the company intersected 503.52m to 503.77m of coarse gold.

Aircore drilling at the Flagpole area has also returned several high-grade intersections within and to the north of the resource, including 4m @ 16.55g/t gold from 64m and 15m @ 2.2g/t gold from 94m, including 5m @ 4.19g/t gold from 101m.

Managing Director Andrew Paterson says that the latest drill results are encouraging as they indicate the continuity of high grades at depth.

“This result comes on the back of the recent intersection of spectacular vein-hosted gold at Mulga Bill approximately 430m below surface announced on 11 December 2025,” Paterson says.

“The result is important as it demonstrates the continuity of the high-grade vein array at depth and shows the potential of this gold system to deliver ounces well below the high-grade Mulga Bill-Eaglehawk resource, which is already 2.5km long.

“Aircore drilling at Flagpole has intersected strong grades north of the resource, demonstrating plenty of scope for this area to grow.

“These recent drilling results from all three deposits point to continued strong resource growth at Side Well, and with three rigs in the field, we expect to deliver more updates very soon.”

Great Boulder is targeting resource growth, with current drilling going below and along strike of the existing resources, and testing regional targets.

The company is well funded with approximately $15 million in cash to continue with their drilling programs.

Great Boulder is an Australian exploration company with a portfolio of gold and base metals assets in Western Australia.
