Great Boulder Whiteheads Project

Great Boulder confirms Whiteheads gold mineralisation

Great Boulder Resources (ASX:GBR) has confirmed gold mineralisation within two new prospect areas after conducting aircore drilling at the Whiteheads Project in Western Australia.

The drilling program, comprising 67 holes for 2,412m, tested prospects at Reception Hill, Lindsays, and Wishbone.

Some of the results include 4m @ 4.51 grams per tonne gold, 2m @ 1.86g/t gold, and 4m @ 0.94g/t gold.

The company says anomalous 4m sample composites will be assayed as 1m samples. Further work will depend on the timing of completing the Whiteheads divestment to privately held Great Western Gold.

In late November 2024, Great Boulder announced it is divesting Whiteheads via an equity deal. The deal allows the company to retain exposure to the asset while also remaining focused on the Side Well Gold Project.

The sale process is on track for completion in H1 2025.

Managing Director Andrew Paterson says while the transaction is underway, Great Boulder completed a short aircore drilling program to keep the tenements in good standing, and in doing so, the company confirmed two new prospects to be followed up.

“Reception Hill is an area with very strong coherent gold anomalism in the soil geochemistry, but we’ve done very little work there while we concentrated initially on the nearby Blue Poles discovery, and more recently at the Side Well Gold Project,” Paterson says.

“We will provide further updates on Whiteheads when the sale process completes. In the meantime we’re looking forward to ongoing news flow from exploration at Side Well.”

Great Boulder Resources is a mineral explorer focused on a portfolio of highly prospective gold and base metal projects in Western Australia.

The company’s flagship Side Well Gold Project has a defined mineral resource of 7.45 million tonnes @ 2.8g/t gold for 668,000 ounces of gold.
