Golden State identifies six gold, lithium, and base metal targets at Yule

Golden State Mining (ASX: GSM) has confirmed six new targets prospective for gold, lithium, and base metals at its flagship Yule Gold Project in the Pilbara’s Mallina Basin.

The phase three reconnaissance AC program defined six multi-commodity target areas for followup drilling:

  1. Yule East (Au)
  2. Balla Yule (Ni-Co-Cu)
  3. Quarry Well (Pb-Zn)
  4. Target 2 (Au-Li)
  5. Target 1 (Au)
  6. Yule North Area 1 (Au)

Key results from the work include a ‘significant’ gold intercept of 4m @ 0.8g/t from 74m at Yule North. Anomalous arsenic and LCT pegmatite pathfinders were also intersected in multiple holes at Target 2.

Speaking on the results, Golden State Mining Managing Director Michael Moore said: “Our latest regional air-core drilling at Yule North and Yule East has revealed further encouraging gold and gold pathfinder anomalism for follow up. The wide spaced and shallow air-core drilling which has revealed these anomalies provides GSM with a platform to launch into more focused follow-up drilling to test the extensive along trend gold potential. GSM continues to validate the credibility of this region and its ability to deliver further major discoveries.

The multi commodity nature of the host geology provides the company with strong exposure to in-demand metals”

The multi commodity nature of the host geology provides the company with strong exposure to in-demand metals. As well as a significant regional gold endowment, the company has established the nickel and lithium prospectivity of its ~730km2 of Yule tenements and looks forward to follow-up drilling in the 2022 field season.”

The company had commenced a 16,326m regional phase-three reconnaissance AC drill program over 18 targets at the Yule Project in in October 2021.

Final assay results have now been received for Target 1 West, Target 2, and Target 3 at Yule South, along with new target areas at Yule North.

Moving forward, GSM reports that it is planning on collecting 1m sample intervals within anomalous 4m composite samples for further review. Follow-up lithium and gold drill planning is also underway.
