Golden Deeps (ASX:GED) is planning further drilling in 2024 at its Nosib prospect in Namibia after returning ‘high-grade’ copper and silver drill results.
Next year, the $5.42 million market capitalisation company will extend the wide zone of ‘higher-grade’ stratabound copper-silver and rare earths mineralisation, both down-plunge to the west and east of the prospect.
Results from the current and planned drilling programs will be included in a maiden mineral resource model for Nosib, which is being prepared by geological consultants in Randburg, South Africa, Shango Solutions.
Meanwhile, today’s (12 December 2023) diamond drilling results show up to 10.3% copper and 56.9 grams per tonne (g/t) silver in a wide copper-silver-rare earths intersection at the prospect.
Golden Deeps reports drillhole NSBDD017 intersected 44.22m @ 0.6% copper equivalents (CuEq*) (0.50% Cu, 3.2g/t silver (Ag)) and 94g/t total rare earth oxide (TREO) from 34.8m, including 0.49m @ 11% CuEq* (10.3% Cu, 56.9g/t Ag) and 205g/t TREO from 64.77m.
This new drilling intersection is from a 10-hole diamond drilling program that tested extensions to the west and east of Nosib.
Golden Deeps says the results suggest the grade and thickness of the stratabound copper-silver mineralisation is increasing with depth and to the west, where it remains completely open.
Golden Deeps is an ASX-listed emerging explorer and developer focused on the Otavi Mountain Land Copper District of Namibia.
As of 30 September 2023, the company had $5.416 million cash and cash equivalents at hand, according to its latest quarterly report.
