Golden Deeps (ASX:GED) has commenced deeper diamond drilling to test three priority copper‑silver‑zinc‑lead‑germanium sulphide targets at its Graceland discovery in Namibia.
The drilling targets zones with a similar geochemical and structural footprint to the Tsumeb deposit, located 30km north of Graceland, which produced 27 million tonnes at 4.3% copper (Cu), 10% lead (Pb), 3.50% zinc (Zn), 95 grams per tonne silver (Ag), and 50g/t germanium (Ge).
New shallow drilling results have enhanced the prospectivity of deeper targets, with assays up to 9.2% Cu and 417g/t Ag below Gossan 1 East, and 23.2% Zn, 144g/t Ag, and 118g/t Ge below Gossan 1.
“We are very pleased to have commenced our deeper diamond drilling program at the exciting Graceland discovery in Namibia — to test the high-priority critical metals targets identified within the Gossan 1 corridor by our previous systematic exploration programs,” CEO Jon Dugdale says.
The company’s exploration program has produced ‘high‑grade’ channel sampling intersections including 3m @ 11.2% Cu, 294g/t Ag, and 8.7% Zn, including 0.5m @ 31.7% Cu, 961g/t Ag, 15.30% Zn, and 79g/t Ge at Gossan 1.
An initial 10 diamond holes will test down‑plunge extensions of previously identified ‘high‑grade’ gossan zones, as well as key IP chargeability anomalies below Gossan 1 and Gossan 1 East.
Stage two will test deeper extensions below 100m depth and the Gossan 1 Far East IP target, which is the largest and strongest of the three anomalies detected to date.
Golden Deeps holds six exclusive prospecting licences covering over 440km2 in Namibia’s Otavi Mountain Land Metallogenic Belt through its 80%‑owned subsidiaries.
The tenements are located within the Damara Fold Belt, which also hosts the B2 Gold (TSX:BTO) Otjikoto Gold Mine.
Golden Deeps is an Australian explorer advancing a portfolio of copper, vanadium, and gold projects in Namibia and New South Wales.
