Gochager Lake can Fathom mineralisation extension

Fathom Nickel (CSE:FNI) has mapped the Gochager Lake deposit to extend for a minimum length of 3.5km following a rock geochemistry program at the project in Saskatchewan, Canada.

The company says the campaign revealed consistently occurring surface outcrops with disseminated sulphide mineralisation, trending northeast from the Gochager Lake deposit towards and under Scurry Lake.

This program marks the second prospecting campaign, running from September to October after wildfires in July revealed new outcrop exposure, using portable x-ray fluorescence (pXRF).

CEO Ian Fraser says the company utilised historical drilling results to guide the exploration activities.

“We are currently interpreting and compiling the summer soil geochemistry program results with the new geology map and will release those results when complete,” Fraser says.

Fathom collected 684 outcrop chip samples, using pXRF to update the geology map.

“The expanded container rock defined to date now is developing into a very linear feature that is consistent with the geological settings of many of the world’s premier magmatic nickel districts,” the CEO says.

“The 3.5km of Gochager container rock gives us an expanded playing field for additional discoveries of significant bodies of semi-massive to massive nickel-copper-cobalt sulphide mineralisation.”

Located 75km north-northeast of La Ronge and 22km west-northwest of Missinipe, Gochager spans 33,629 hectares and is prospective for nickel-copper-cobalt mineralisation.

Fathom Nickel is a mineral explorer focused on developing magmatic nickel sulphide deposits in North America.
