FMR Resources (ASX:FMR) has provided first results from drilling completed in Q4 2025 at the wholly owned Fairfield Copper Project in New Brunswick, Canada.
Assay results from the first of seven from Goshen, within the Fairfield Project, confirm shallow copper mineralisation.
Key intersections include 7m @ 0.47% copper, including 1m @ 1.3% copper and 8 grams per tonne silver from 85m; and 2m @ 0.67% copper from 108m.
Managing Director Oliver Kiddie says that these first results “demonstrate we have intersected a mineralised polymetallic system, open in multiple directions”.
“Additional geophysics will be investigated to expand the structural and geological models at Goshen, with the aim of identifying further mineralised target horizons across the project area.”
Assays remain pending from the remaining holes, where thinner zones of visible mineralisation were intersected.
FMR notes that these initial results provide ‘encouraging evidence’ that a mineralised system does exist at Goshen and that they will conduct a final review of the additional results prior to making a decision on future exploration.
Exploration work is partly being funded by the New Brunswick Junior Mining Assistance Program which provides funding for up to 50% of eligible costs, within limits, for exploration work carried out in the province.
FMR Resources is a diversified explorer, focused on battery metals and critical minerals in Canada.
