FMR flags multiple sulphide targets at La Martuca

FMR Resources’ (ASX:FMR) preliminary induced polarisation (IP) surveys have identified two significant sulphide targets at the La Martuca prospect within its La Lorena Project in Chile.

The company completed four of six planned survey lines, defining a chargeability anomaly directly beneath historical workings and a second anomaly approximately 550m northeast.

Managing Director Oliver Kiddie says the discoveries have strengthened confidence in the developing exploration model.

“The coincidence of these independent geophysical anomalies provides another compelling target for follow-up exploration,” Kiddie says.

The central target coincides with previous ‘high grade’ copper-gold rock chip results, suggesting the mineralised structure continues at depth.

Preliminary inversion modelling also identified a broad conductive zone across the western survey area, interpreted to reflect clay alteration surrounding a resistive core.

“As we continue integrating the IP, magnetic, and geological datasets, we are rapidly refining what we believe is an emerging pipeline of high-quality drill targets within what has the potential to be a large-scale copper-gold system,” Kiddie says.

Located 380km north of Santiago, La Lorena lies along a fault corridor linking major mineralised districts including Los Pelambres and Punitaqui.

Moving forward, FMR plans to complete the remaining IP survey lines and 3D inversion modelling, as well as prioritise drill targets for an initial drilling program in the Q4 2026.

FMR Resources is an explorer focused on battery and critical metals, with projects in Chile and Canada.
