Fire erupts at Austin Engineering’s mining equipment warehouse

A mining equipment manufacturing warehouse caught on fire last night (16 September) in Perth’s east.

At least five fire crews were reportedly called to Austin Engineering’s (ASX:ANG) warehouse in Kewdale.

Emergency services were called around 8pm AWST and the flames were extinguished within an hour.

Police units were called to stop traffic due to heavy smoke pollution affecting the surrounding neighbourhood.

The fire is not currently being treated as suspicious.

Austin Engineering is a mining equipment company with over 50 years of experience in engineering and manufacturing equipment for the mining industry.
