Faraday Copper (TSX:FDY) CEO Paul Harbidge says results from a phase four drill program conducted at the Copper Creek Project in Arizona provide the opportunity for initial cathode production.
The holes drilled targeted near-surface copper mineralisation and addressed infill drilling and geotechnical objectives. Seven holes were drilled in the Globe area, seven holes were drilled in the Marsha area, and five were drilled in the Copper Giant area.
At Copper Giant, one result included 36m @ 0.81% copper, while at Marsha, six holes intersected breccia and vein-hosted copper and molybdenum mineralisation. Some of the results include 28m @ 0.58% copper and 0.10% molybdenum from 46m; and 17.5m @ 0.40% copper near-surface within 76.95m @ 0.23% copper.
Meanwhile at Globe, four holes intersected mineralisation including returning 28m @ 0.64% copper.
Harbidge adds that one objective of the phase four drilling program was expanding and better defining the oxide resource.
“These drill results demonstrate the presence of additional copper oxide and secondary sulphide material near surface and adjacent to previously defined breccia-hosted mineralisation,” the CEO says.
Faraday activities
Drilling is continuing, focusing on near-surface mineralisation as well as geotechnical and hydrogeological objectives. Assays for additional completed drill holes will be released as they are received, analysed, and confirmed by the company.
Last week, Faraday outlined it had closed a non-brokered private placement for C$100 million ($101.5 million), as reported.
As of 31 March 2026, the company has C$120.77 million cash and cash equivalents at hand, according to its latest financial report.
Faraday Copper is focused on its flagship Copper Creek Project located 80km northeast of Tucson, Arizona. The project comprises 80km2 of private land, patented and unpatented mining claims, as well as state prospecting permits.
