Faraday grows confidence in Copper Creek

Faraday Copper (TSX:FDY) has received drill results from the Copper Creek Project in Arizona, US, which has increased the company’s confidence in expanding near surface mineralisation.

A total of 40,000m of drilling is currently planned, focusing on near-surface mineralisation alongside geotechnical and hydrogeological objectives.

The company says the drillholes targeted near-surface copper mineralisation in the
American Eagle area, as well as infill drilling and geotechnical objectives.

Five holes were drilled at American Eagle which intersected near-surface mineralisation above the open pit cutoff grade and further the potential for an open pit resource to be defined above the existing American Eagle underground resource.

Some of the results include 17.58m @ 0.44% copper from 109.42m; 16.46m @ 0.57% copper from 184.54m; and 45.25m @ 0.42% copper from 256.28m.

CEO Paul Harbidge says the initial results increase the company’s confidence in expanding near-surface mineralisation in American Eagle, further supporting the potential to define an open-pit mineral resource.

“Phase four drilling is ongoing with three active rigs focused on increasing the open-pit potential, testing district exploration targets, and collecting hydrogeological and geotechnical data that will be used in future technical studies,” Harbidge says.
