EV Resources confirms new antimony feeders at Los Lirios

EV Resources (ASX:EVR) has confirmed four new feeder vein systems at its Los Lirios Antimony Project in Mexico after submitting 31 channel samples for analysis post-geological mapping.

The systematic reconnaissance and mapping program identified the Santo Niño, San Juan, San Ramón, and JIU veins across a 900m by 200m corridor at Los Lirios 1. The company interprets these as hydrothermal feeder systems responsible for antimony mineralisation within carbonate replacement bodies.

Mapping also identified four new hydrothermal breccia targets, expanding the drill-ready inventory. Twenty-one reconnaissance channel samples and 10 systematic channel samples were collected from newly documented underground workings.

Interim chief executive Miguel Barahona says the system continues to expand with every campaign.

“In a single campaign we have gone from one mineralised corridor to four new breccia targets and four new feeder veins, and at Tetlate we are observing sizable stibnite crystals sitting in the breccia,” Barahona says.

“These are the types of geological features we are looking for as evidence of hydrothermal pathways responsible for antimony mineralisation.”

According to EVR, a detailed review of the San Benito-Cofradía corridor identified the Carrizales exploration area, which comprises an inclined shaft with 18m of development.

The Carrizales working also intersects the San José carbonate replacement deposit and the Carrizales hydrothermal breccia over a 0.55m width.

Meanwhile, reconnaissance traced mineralised float to the historical Santiago Mine, a near-horizontal working with 13m of development exposing polymictic hydrothermal breccia with disseminated cervantite and millimetre-scale veinlets.

Finally, the Cofradía-San Manuel corridor delivered the strongest visual mineralisation, where Tetlate shaft three exposes coarse stibnite crystals infilling interclast spaces within hydrothermal breccia, alongside barite, cervantite, and trace valentinite.

Assay results are expected over coming weeks. In the meantime, EVR says environmental authorisation for phase two drilling has been confirmed, with a phased diamond drilling program being designed to test the interpreted breccia pipes and feeder-carbonate replacement deposit intersections.

The company holds a 70% interest in Los Lirios, located 50km from its Tecomatlán Processing Plant, as part of an integrated North American antimony strategy that includes the Mexican processing hub and US antimony projects in Nevada.
