Montauban Project

ESGold evaluates Montauban’s broader geological potential

ESGold (CSE:ESAU) has begun a surface diamond drilling program at the Montauban Project in Québec, Canada, as part of the company’s systematic evaluation of the project’s broader geological and exploration potential.

The 29-hole program, totalling around 5,000m, will primarily focus on the historical Montauban mine area and will be conducted under the supervision of Merouane Rachidi. Rachidi will oversee all geological aspects of the campaign, including drill hole implementation, core logging, sampling, and geological interpretation.

Drilling will not only test individual mineralised intervals but also strengthen ESGold’s understanding of the geological architecture and controls on mineralisation within the historical Montauban mine area.

The new drill core will provide substantive geological and analytical data that can be incorporated into the property’s evolving three-dimensional geological model.

Together with the historical drilling database, these results are expected to help the company assess the reliability and relevance of mineralisation described in previous reports and determine the scope of any future work required for a current mineral resource evaluation.

As drilling progresses, ESGold will continuously evaluate new results alongside historical drilling data, geological interpretations, and available geophysical data. This enables the company to refine its geological model, prioritise emerging targets, and adjust the drill program as new geological and analytical information becomes available.

“Our focus is on defining the continuity and geometry of known mineralised zones, testing areas of mineralisation identified through historical work, and building the geological framework needed to assess the broader exploration potential across the property,” CEO Gordon Robb says.

The Montauban Project is a precious metals development asset that is designed as a fully permitted tailings-to-cash operation, recovering gold, silver, and mica from historical mine tailings while advancing district-scale exploration potential.

ESGold is a fully permitted, funded, pre-production mining company advancing a scalable clean mining model across North America.
