EQ Resources (ASX:EQR) in October 2025 achieved a new monthly production record of 12,006 tonnes of contained tungsten trioxide at the Barruecopardo Mine in Spain.
The company says there was a rise in feed volumes at the mine, with 160,976 tonnes processed through the jaw crusher and 58,714 tonnes through the Tomra x-ray transmissive (XRT) ore sorters. The plant feed grade also remained strong at 0.236% tungsten trioxide, due to upgrading efficiency of the Tomra XRT ore sorters.
EQ Resources, which has a market capitalisation of $146.47 million, says the Barruecopardo Mine is preparing to install a wet scalping screen and new shaking tables to further enhance recovery and classification.
Engineering for an independent sorter feed system has been finalised, with equipment ordered.
Managing Director Craig Bradshaw says the team has progressively worked through the performance challenges that existed and through implementing the company’s proprietary solutions, have developed improvements that lifted recovery from the low 40s to mid-to-high 60s.
“Excellent work and just a small step towards future production records,” Bradshaw says.
