Energy Drive steers in COO to lead expansion

Energy efficiency solutions provider Energy Drive has appointed Nick Moelders as COO, as part of its strategy to accelerate global growth and strengthen leadership across international markets.

Based in the US, Moelders will oversee global operations and act as executive lead for North America. His role includes managing technological development, engineering implementation, manufacturing, supplier partnerships, and ongoing optimisation across Energy Drive’s growing portfolio of projects.

With more than 30 years of experience in the energy sector, Moelders’ background spans power generation, oil and gas, and clean energy.

Moelders says his focus would be on innovation and practical outcomes for clients.

“Energy Drive provides solutions that deliver measurable efficiency improvements, cost reductions, and emissions savings. The company’s record of technological innovation and performance positions it well for international growth,” he says.

Energy Drive CEO James Hynd says Moelders’ appointment aligns with the company’s expansion priorities.

Nick’s deep expertise in energy technology and his proven ability to scale and lead high-performing teams will be instrumental as we accelerate our expansion in the US and globally,” Hynd says.

Launched in 2010, Energy Drive is focused on providing zero-capex energy efficiency solutions to large motors in the mining and metals industries.
