E-Power Resources (CSE:EPR) has been busy this year at remaining a pure-play graphite company, amid awaiting to release some highly anticipated metallurgy results from its Tetepisca Project in Québec, Canada.
“Things looked pretty dark for a while – it’s always darkest before dawn and it looks as though it’s getting light outside,” CEO James Cross tells this news service.
The pending metallurgy results, which are expected to be released next week, will demonstrate two things to E-Power: the ease with which the graphite is extracted from the rock and the flake size distribution.
E-Power took bulk samples, weighing 250kg, from three different target areas within Tetepisca and had them processed.
As Mining.com.au reported, the company has been advancing exploration, evaluation, and resource definition at the Tetapisca Project. A phase two field program was proposed, in addition to metallurgical testwork and a detailed mineralogy study from selected showings.

During 2025, Cross says E-Power has been trying to capture only one link in the graphite or products requiring graphite for manufacture.
“What we’ve avoided, which fits in with our entire objective here, is getting into things like battery anode material manufacturing,” he tells this news service.
About 95% of the anode — the negative terminal of a battery — is made up of graphite. Each electric vehicle battery requires 50kg to 100kg of the commodity, but more than 80% of global supply currently comes from China.
Canada currently accounts for about 1% of graphite’s global supply, while the US accounts for none.
Cross says the Tetepisca Project has “quite a lot” of larger flake graphite and high-grades, which is considered unique.
“On our property, we’ve got basically from the surface in lots of places, the combination of large flakes and high-grade which is pretty rare globally,” he notes.
The Tetepisca Project, covering 12,620 hectares, is located in the Tetepisca graphite district and includes the Lac Gueret, Lac Gueret Extension, and the Lac Tetepisca deposits.
E-Power Resources is focused on developing graphite resources for the emerging electric vehicle market.
