E-Power Resources (CSE:EPR) is advancing exploration, evaluation, and resource definition at the Tetepisca Flake Graphite Project in Québec, Canada, after receiving results from a phase one works program.
The company intends to continue field work during phase two, as well as initiating additional metallurgical testwork and a detailed mineralogy study from selected showings.
Phase one involved fieldwork, including geological and geophysical mapping and prospecting. The results returned several samples greater than 10% graphitic carbon, including one sample grading 68.7% graphitic carbon from Graphi-Centre – the highest priority target on Tetepisca.
E-Power also discovered a new flake graphite showing which includes a grab sample of 54.7% graphitic carbon located on a long conductive linear trend on the southwestern part of the property.
CEO James Cross says phase one further shows the from-surface resource potential of several flake graphite targets on Tetepisca.
“Metallurgical testwork, detailed mineralogy, and continued geological evaluation will result in characterisation of the potential deposits and prioritisation for advanced evaluation and delineation,” Cross says.
“By characterising the different resource delineation targets, we expect to be able to attract users of graphite, and companies who want to secure that link in the supply chain; those who need politically-reliable graphite sources.”
The Tetepisca Graphite district contains 126 million tonnes of measured and indicated flake graphite mineralisation at an average grade of 14% in three deposits.
One of the three deposits has advanced through feasibility containing a reserve of 4.7 million tonnes of ore at an average grade of 27.8% graphitic carbon.
The Tetepisca Project, covering 12,620 hectares, is located in the North Shore region of Québec, Canada.
