E-Power brings on new CEO

E-Power Resources (CSE:EPR) has appointed Jean-Michael Gauthier as CEO and Mark Billings as Chairman, following the resignation of James Cross earlier this month.

Gauthier has experience in capital markets, corporate development, and strategic positioning within the resources sector. His focus will be on ensuring the deployment of capital and maximising the value of the Tetepisca Graphite Project in Québec, Canada.

“We are moving forward decisively with an agile, focused operating strategy across the entire organisation, prioritising strict cost discipline and aggressive technical execution,” the new CEO says.

Billings is a finance professional in the Canadian resources sector, bringing extensive investment banking and corporate finance experience.

In conjunction, E-Power has strengthened its advisory board with the appointment of Christian Folk – co-founder of Camet, Zug Switzerland and Vega Metals Trading.

Folk has more than 16 years of global mining and metals trading experience, including tenure with Glencore (LSE:GLEN).

As previously reported last week, E-Power received metallurgical testwork results from Tetepisca which highlights the potential for flake graphite mineralisation. The results achieved 96.7% flotation recovery and a 94.8% concentrate grade from the Graphi West sample, confirming amenability to producing a high-purity product.

E-Power Resources is a Montreal-based battery minerals explorer with assets in Québec, Canada.
