Dreadnought Resources prepares for further discoveries at Tarraji-Yampi Project, WA

Dreadnought Resources (ASX:DRE) is conducting a fixed-loop electromagnetic (FLEM) survey across several prospects within its Tarraji-Yampi Project in Western Australia.

The FLEM survey is being conducted at the Thunderer East, Thunderer West, and Orion discoveries in the project area. Dreadnought aims to define new drill targets through these surveys, with results expected in June 2023.

This announcement comes after the company identified 13 ‘high-quality’ Orion look-alikes from extensive auger programs at Tarraji-Yampi.

Dreadnought says the programs resulted in an ‘improved’ understanding of the lithostructural controls on mineralisation and helped identify mineralised outcrops at 6 of the 13 targets.

The results with ‘significant’ outcropping mineralisation associated with auger anomalism at the Thunderer and Vanguard prospects include hole KMRK0289 with, 37% Cu, 163g/t Ag, 1g/t Au, and 0.03% Co, and hole KMRK0290, with 39.4% Cu, 165g/t Ag, 1.6g/t Au, 0.02% Co.

Commenting on this discovery, Dreadnought Resources Managing Director Dean Tuck says: “Our low-impact auger program at Tarraji-Yampi has been a resounding success and resulted not only in identifying additional Orion and Grant’s look-alike targets but a better understanding of the lithostructural controls for mineralisation.

This improved understanding has resulted in the definition of 13 geochemical anomalies with similar trace element signatures to Orion and Grant’s. We are excited about making additional discoveries at Tarraji-Yampi.”

Dreadnought also says it has planned discovery-focused reverse circulation (RC) and diamond drilling to begin in September 2023 at the project.

Tarraji-Yampi is located within the Yampi Sound Training Area in the West Kimberley region of Western Australia.

Dreadnought Resources is an ASX-listed Western Australian mineral explorer focused on the discovery of metals needed now and in the future. The company has 4 core projects including the Tarraji-Yampi, Mangaroon, Central Yilgarn, and Bresnahan projects.
