Dreadnought Resources (ASX:DRE) plans to begin discovery-focused reverse circulation (RC) and diamond drilling in August or September 2023 at its Tarraji-Yampi Project in Western Australia.
This news comes after the company received results from a Fixed Loop Electromagnetic (FLEM) survey at Tarraji-Yampi that identified 14 ‘high-quality’ exploration targets similar to the Orion trend in the area.
Dreadnought reports that the survey results identified 6 coincident geochemical, magnetic, and strong conductor anomalies, 3 of which have identified outcropping mineralisation.
Additionally, there are 3 further moderate-to-weak conductors with coincident geochemical anomalies, including Thunderer North, where an outcropping mineralised vein was uncovered with similarities to Grant’s Find and Vanguard.
The company says the RC drilling of the 14 Orion look-alikes is planned to begin in a couple of months.
The news comes ahead of Dreadnought Resources’ presentation at the 2023 Gold Coast Investment Showcase on Wednesday 21 June.
Commenting on the recent results and upcoming exploration activities, Dreadnought Resources Managing Director Dean Tuck says: “Tarraji-Yampi had been unexplored for over 50 years prior to becoming Dreadnought’s original flagship project upon listing in 2019.
“We are excited about the prospect of making additional discoveries and proving the scale of the Cu-Ag-Au-Co opportunity at Tarraji-Yampi”
With our new understandings and datasets now available, it is worth highlighting that several of these anomalies are stronger, larger, and/or higher tenor than those over Orion. We are excited about the prospect of making additional discoveries and proving the scale of the Cu-Ag-Au-Co opportunity at Tarraji-Yampi.”

Dreadnought Resources is an ASX-listed ‘highly active’ Western Australian mineral explorer focused on finding the metals needed now and in the future. The company is currently focused on 4 core projects, namely the Tarraji-Yampi, Mangaroon, Central Yilgarn, and Bresnahan projects.
