Dreadnought broaching potential Bresnahan partnership

Dreadnought Resources (ASX:DRE) is in discussions regarding potential partnerships or commercialisation of its wholly owned Bresnahan Uranium, Heavy Rare Earths and Gold-Silver-Antimony Project in Western Australia.

Talks have begun ahead of planned surface sampling scheduled for April 2024.

Bresnahan sits within the Bresnahan Basin, one of Western Australia’s known uranium provinces containing the Angelo River deposit and having been previously explored by global uranium giant Cameco (NYSE:CCJ) U3O8, and Vale from 2005 to 2012, as well as CRA, Pan Continental, and Uranerz from 1978 to 1990.

Dreadnought has consolidated the largest landholding in this region with known uranium (U3O8), heavy rare earths (HREE), gold-silver-antimony (Au-Ag-Sb) mineralisation.

The $66.14 million market capitalisation company today (7 March 2024) reports an ongoing review of the 4,000km-square project has highlighted a dozen ‘significant’ untested unconformity and paleochannel uranium targets.

The uranium targets are analogous to Alligator River or Yeelirrie, while the HREE and gold-silver-antimony targets are analogous to the Browns Range and Paulsens/Mt Clement tenements, respectively.

Managing Director Dean Tuck says: “Bresnahan is a known uranium province containing over a dozen quality targets identified by a significant amount of work undertaken by the likes of Pancontinental, Cameco, Vale, and Dreadnought.

These targets were never followed up due to a lull in uranium prices. We have also confirmed high-grade heavy rare earths and gold/silver/antimony. Our focus is on gold and base metals and commercialisation opportunities including joint venture, divestment or demerger are being sought for Bresnahan with discussions underway with various parties.”

Dreadnought Resources is an active Western Australian mineral explorer focused on finding metals needed now and in the future.

The Bresnahan Project sits 125km southwest of Newman in the Ashburton Basin.
