TG Metals (ASX:TG6) is preparing to start developing its Lake Johnston Lithium Project, located 117km west of Norseman in Western Australia’s Goldfields.
The lithium explorer has performed advanced metallurgy processing studies, a full mine processing design, as well as one drill-out to resource status. These steps are required before the Burmeister deposit can become development ready.
Timing is favourable due to a recent “material improvement” in the lithium market with strong commodity pricing forecast to provide a “catalyst for progressing” the project.
“Application[s] for a mining lease, encompassing Burmeister and planned infrastructure, together with approvals for a resource drill-out will pave the pathway forward for development of this significant deposit,” CEO David Selfe says.
“Our technology patent application remains on track, and investigations into potential revenue generation from waste stream materials is underway.”
TG Metals now plans to apply for a mining lease at the Burmeister lithium deposit.
There is also potential for early development direct shipping ore, following multiple Asia offtake enquiries made to the company.
Proposed drilling for the first resource at Burmeister has been revised, with a new program of works already approved.
Up to 41 reverse circulation and diamond drill core holes will be drilled across a combined 4.8km.
Drilling will help to define resources and provide core samples for further semi-continuous metallurgical test work via hybrid dense media separation and a flotation flowsheet that has been developed in-house.
TG Metals is a lithium, nickel, and gold exploration company, with assets predominantly in Western Australia’s Goldfields-Esperance region.
