Dalaroo Metals (ASX:DAL) has returned assays from reconnaissance rock chip sampling grading up to 17.95 grams per tonne gold during due diligence programs at the Bondoukou Gold Project in eastern Côte d’Ivoire.
The company says quartz reef material within active artisanal workings, extending 600m along strike, confirm the presence of ‘high-grade’ gold mineralisation within the northern area of the project.
Sampling returned grades ranging from 3.59g/t and up to 17.95g/t gold from four of the six collected samples.
Dalaroo is conducting systematic geological mapping and geochemical sampling campaigns at the Bondoukou Project.
CEO John Morgan says although sampling was selective at the project, the results highlight the exploration potential within a “well-endowed Birimian gold belt”.
“The widespread artisanal workings observed across the northern portion of the licence provide valuable geological guidance for our exploration programs,” Morgan says.
“These workings often represent the surface expression of structurally controlled gold systems that have potential to extend along strike and at depth.
“Our immediate focus is on completing detailed geological mapping and geochemical sampling to better understand the structural controls and scale of the mineralised system. These programs will be critical in defining priority targets for our first phase of drilling at Bondoukou.”

Exploration Manager Frank Twum-Beruma Bosompem says the gold belt Bondoukou is located within hosts numerous gold deposits.
“The presence of extensive artisanal workings across the northern portion of the permit provides strong geological evidence for structurally controlled gold mineralisation at surface,” Twum-Beruma Bosompem says.
“While the sampling is reconnaissance in nature, the high-grade assays returned to date are encouraging and support our interpretation of a structurally controlled mineralised system within the project area.
“Our in-country exploration team is currently undertaking systematic geological mapping and geochemical sampling to better understand the structural controls and scale of the mineralised system.
“These programs will be critical in defining priority drill targets as we advance Bondoukou through the next phase of exploration.”
Dalaroo Metals is a gold and critical minerals explorer, focused on advancing the Blue Lagoon Project in Greenland, gold assets in Côte d’Ivoire, and several assets in Western Australia.
