Dalaroo welcomes new Exploration Manager

Dalaroo Metals (ASX:DAL) has appointed Trystan Hughes as Exploration Manager for Greenland and Western Australia as the company shifts into its next phase of systematic exploration and target definition.

Hughes has over a decade of experience across exploration, resource development, and mining operation stages as a geologist, with focus on commodities including gold, lithium, nickel, and iron ore.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Geology from Cardiff University, a Master of Science in Mining Geology from Camborne School of Mines, and a Graduate Diploma in Mining from the Western Australia School of Mines.

Hughes has international experience in Greenland, working on the Nalunaq Gold Project in both production and exploration geology. At the project, he also completed structural and geotechnical assessments to support underground mine development.

Dalaroo says Hughes brings strong project management capability to the team and will enhance the company’s in-house technical capability as the company focuses on advancing its Blue Lagoon Project in Greenland.

“I am very excited to be joining Dalaroo Metals as we look to grow, develop, and unlock the potential of our portfolio of strategically positioned multi-commodity projects in established mining jurisdictions known for their wealth of critical minerals,” Hughes says.

“The Blue Lagoon Project presents a compelling exploration opportunity, with early results highlighting the potential for sediment-hosted critical mineral accumulation.”

Meanwhile, exploration campaigns at Blue Lagoon have provided the company with insights in the lagoon and surrounding environments behavior and distribution of heavy minerals.

The company says sediment sampling has identified elevated zirconium values within the lagoon and nearshore sediments.

CEO John Morgan says the elevated zirconium values support a “coherent geological model and provides a clear basis for follow-up exploration”.

“Recent sediment sampling results at Blue Lagoon are improving our understanding of heavy mineral distribution within the lagoon system,” Morgan says.

“We are also pleased to welcome Trystan Hughes, whose experience will strengthen our capability as we advance exploration across Greenland and Western Australia.”

Dalaroo Metals is focused on building a diversified exploration portfolio for gold and critical minerals across Western Australia, Côte d’Ivoire, and Greenland.
