Dalaroo Metals (ASX:DAL) has identified a gold-in-soil anomaly extending 4.3km along strike from its priority one soil geochemistry program at the Gold Ridge prospect within the Bondoukou Project in Côte d’Ivoire.
Assays are pending from an additional 4.7km of strike, with the current assays returning a peak soil result of 2,188 parts per billion (ppb) gold or 2.19 grams per tonne.
The company says multiple contiguous soil anomalies define a robust mineralised corridor, with the assays pending expected to further extend the project’s coverage.
Dalaroo has returned 454 samples greater than 20ppb gold, including 27 samples exceeding 200ppb gold.
The gold anomaly coincides with an interpreted 9km-long geophysical corridor at the project, positioned along a fold-limb structure that was identified in recent geological mapping.
Dalaroo says there is a “strong correlation” between soil anomaly, artisanal workings, quartz veining, and favourable lithological contacts.
The company plans a 5,000m auger drilling campaign to test the validity and enrichment of the anomalous zone.
CEO John Morgan says these results represent a “significant milestone for Dalaroo and provide strong validation” of the company’s exploration model.
“Defining a coherent 4.3km gold anomaly associated with a 9km structural corridor, extensive artisanal workings, and favourable geology substantially enhances our confidence in the scale potential of the system,” Morgan says.
“Importantly, these results provide a clear pathway to drilling. Our upcoming auger program has been specifically designed to test the bedrock source of the anomaly and rapidly advance the highest-priority targets toward maiden RC (reverse circulation) drilling.
“With multiple datasets now converging on the same corridor, we believe Gold Ridge is emerging as a highly compelling gold exploration opportunity within Côte d’Ivoire’s prolific Birimian Greenstone Belt.”
