Dalaroo Metals (ASX:DAL) has finalised its planning and mobilisation activities at the Blue Lagoon Critical Minerals Project in southern Greenland, which will support the upcoming exploration campaign, scheduled from mid-June to July 2026.
The company has also secured a partnership with Xploration Services Greenland to support field logistics and operational execution in this exploration campaign.
The proposed exploration campaign intends to build on findings in the company’s maiden exploration campaign at Blue Lagoon last year.
Dalaroo identified elevated zirconium, hafnium, and rare earth enrichment across 2.7km of strike at the project. Peak values include 4.42% zirconium oxide, 99 parts per million (ppm) hafnium, and up to 0.81% total rare earth oxides.
Planned activities include auger drilling, geological mapping, geochemical sampling, and offshore sediment sampling. The offshore program will use Van Veen grab sampling to target seabed heavy mineral accumulation zones.
Exploration Manager for Greenland and Western Australia Trystan Hughes says the field season represents a “major step forward in systematically testing the broader scale potential of the Blue Lagoon system”.
“Our current geological interpretation continues to support a strong relationship between the alkaline intrusive source rocks, sediment transport pathways, and downstream depositional environments where heavy minerals may naturally concentrate,” Hughes says.
“Importantly, this year’s program will allow us to integrate onshore and offshore datasets for the first time, which we believe is critical in evaluating the broader continuity of the system.
“The inclusion of offshore Van Veen grab sampling and expanded sedimentary investigations provides an opportunity to test areas that remain largely unexplored but are considered highly prospective for heavy mineral accumulation.”
CEO John Morgan says the company is continuing to ‘rapidly advance the Blue Lagoon Project in Greenland’.
“The upcoming campaign represents our most comprehensive field season undertaken to date and has been specifically designed to test the scale potential of the broader mineral system across both onshore and offshore environments,” Morgan says.
“Partnering with Xploration Services Greenland provides Dalaroo with strong, local operational capabilities and logistical support as we prepare to mobilise into the field.
“We believe Blue Lagoon is evolving into a potentially significant district-scale critical minerals opportunity within the globally recognised Gardar Alkaline Province, and the upcoming exploration season is expected to materially advance our geological understanding of the project.
“With field activities commencing shortly, Dalaroo is well positioned to continue building momentum across its Greenland portfolio.”
Dalaroo Metals is an exploration company focused on the discovery and development of gold and critical mineral projects in Côte d’Ivoire, Greenland, and Australia.
