Cosa begins airborne radiometric survey at Aurora

Cosa Resources (TSX-V:COSA) has commenced an airborne radiometric survey at its Aurora uranium project on its property in Saskatchewan’s Athabasca Basin.

The survey and supporting work are fully financed by Traction Uranium (CSE:TRAC) under an option agreement dated 10 February 2026.

Traction has the right to earn up to an 80% interest in the Aurora project by sole-financing C$9.15 million ($9.35 million) in exploration expenditures and completing cash and share payments.

The survey is being flown at 50m line spacing to identify radiometric anomalies potentially indicative of near-surface uranium mineralisation. Results will guide a proposed partner-financed fall drilling program at Aurora.

Aurora is located in the southeastern Athabasca Basin, approximately 16km east of Cameco’s Key Lake mill and historical mine.

“Given that sandstone cover at Aurora is thin to absent, when combined with geophysical work completed by Cosa in 2024, this partner-funded airborne radiometric survey has [the] potential to generate compelling targets for a proposed Traction-funded fall drilling program,” VP of Exploration Andy Carmichael says.

The survey is expected to be completed in two weeks. Results will then be interpreted and integrated with existing geophysical and drilling data to guide a proposed inaugural drill program at Aurora, tentatively scheduled to commence in early September.

Aurora covers a 17km section of the southeastern rim of the Athabasca Basin, located 40km south of the Grease River Shear Zone. Sandstone cover is expected to be less than 100m thick in the northern third of Aurora and absent in the remainder.

Though no diamond drilling has been completed on the project since 1979, review of historical drill hole logs has identified several zones of hydrothermal alteration.

Airborne gravity gradient and versatile transient electromagnetic surveying completed by Cosa Resources in 2024 identified initial target areas at Aurora.

Drilling at Aurora is planned to follow completion of Cosa’s ongoing drilling at the Murphy Lake North joint venture and planned summer drilling at the Darby joint venture.
