Contango Silver & Gold Kitsault Valley Project in British Columbia, Canada

Contango confirms Torbrit-North Star silver connection at Kitsault

Contango Silver & Gold (TSX:CTGO) has connected the Torbrit and North Star silver deposits at its Kitsault Valley Project in British Columbia, Canada, through step-out drilling.

The company reports initial assay results from its 2026 infill and expansion diamond drilling program. Intercepts include 506 grams per tonne silver equivalent (AgEq) over 13.9m in hole DV26-480 at Torbrit and 807g/t AgEq over 4.96m in hole DV26-494 at North Star, more than 300m south-west.

“Systematic step-out drilling between Torbrit and North Star has defined a clear structural link,” CEO Rick Van Nieuwenhuyse says.

Infill drilling continues to demonstrate grade and continuity at Kitsault Valley, with 500–2,800-plus g/t silver values over thick intervals that match or exceed resource estimates. More than 90% of AgEq grades are attributable to silver content rather than base metals.

Step-out drilling into the gap between the deposits intersected mineralisation, demonstrating continuity below the valley bottom. Extension drilling confirmed the connection in holes DV26-551, DV26-548, and DV26-545, with assays pending.

The company mobilised five diamond drill rigs in late May 2026, initially planning 40,000m but expanding toward 50,000m. Drilling has focused on infill and step-out expansion around established mineral resources and testing regional targets.

This year, the company has completed 32 drill holes at Torbrit, with 21 more targeting North Star and the connection zone. Initial assays are reported from 34 holes across both deposits.

Additional intercepts include 881g/t AgEq over 2.3m in DV26-480 and 262g/t AgEq over 33.5m in DV26-515. Drilling remains active, with one rig continuing expansion work along the North Star-Torbrit linkage. Three others are operating across the Homestake Target area, 470 target, and Wolf deposit areas.

None of the 2026 drilling is incorporated into the company’s mineral resource estimate (MRE) update due later this month. Confirming the mineralised corridor lays the foundation to potentially merge the two deposits into a single integrated mine plan.

Assays for the majority of the 2026 program remain pending, with Contango planning a subsequent MRE for 2027.

Contango Silver & Gold is a Canadian precious metals producer and explorer whose Alaska, US, portfolio includes the Manh Choh mine, Johnson Tract, and Lucky Shot projects.
