Cavalier Resources rolls out next phase of heap leach studies at Crawford Gold Project, WA

Cavalier Resources (ASX:CVR) has begun its next phase of heap leach-focused metallurgical studies for the Crawford Gold Project in Western Australia.

This next phase of activities includes the start of column leach, agglomeration, and percolation testwork and is set to provide valuable insights into the heap leaching process and its effectiveness for the project.

This announcement comes after the company completed initial bottle roll testing on coarse oxide reverse circulation (RC) drill chips from the Crawford Gold mineral resource.

Cavalier reports the testwork returned an average gold recovery of 85% from a broad representative set of samples, with a peak recovery of 93.2% for sample CRC04.

Commenting on the testwork results, Cavalier Resources Executive Technical Director Daniel Tuffin says: “The results are highly encouraging and pave the way for the next phase of heap leach studies for the project.

We are thrilled to announce an average gold recovery of 85% across a highly representative sample range”

Tests focused specifically on the oxide material within the gold resource area at Crawford, which currently constitutes approximately 61% of the Indicated oxide portion of the resource. We are thrilled to announce an average gold recovery of 85% across a highly representative sample range.

An impressive peak sample gold recovery rate of 93.2% was returned, further highlighting the early-stage potential to heap leach oxides at Crawford. In line with our commitment to advancing the project, we have initiated column heap leach work, which includes agglomeration and percolation testing.”

The Leonora Gold Project consists of 2 sub-projects, Crawford and Gambier Lass North, comprising 10 exploration licences, a prospecting licence, a miscellaneous licence, and a mining lease, which lie within the Crawford Gold deposit.

Cavalier Resources is an ASX-listed company that holds interests in several tenements in Western Australia collectively known as the Leonora Gold, Hidden Jewel Gold, and Ella’s Rock Nickel-Gold projects, prospective for gold and nickel mineralisation.
