Caprice Resources (ASX:CRS) has intersected ‘high-grade’ gold following the completion of the phase four drilling campaign at the Island Gold Project in Western Australia.
The results from diamond drilling at Vadrians extends the mineralisation to over 1,000m, with a minimum of 400m of depth.
Key highlights include 9m @ 7.3 grams per tonne gold from 148m downhole at the Vadrians Lode Extension, 7m @ 5.1g/t gold from 297m downhole at Vadrians Deep, 3.5m @ 6.7g/t gold from 243m downhole at Vadrians Continuity, and 1.0m @ 9.5g/t gold from 243m downhole at Vadrians Footwall.
Further assay results remain pending for five diamond holes and 160 aircore holes, anticipated in February and March 2026.
Managing Director Luke Cox says confidence continues to grow following the significant increase of intersected gold mineralisation.
“Vadirans continues to prove up quite nicely and, importantly, it is just one of several gold mineralised prospects and targets across the broader Island Gold corridor,” Cox says.
“With a high volume of samples currently in the laboratory and further assay results expected throughout the quarter as well as further drilling, Caprice is entering a sustained period of results-driven activity.”
Follow up reverse circulation drilling at Vadrians is planned for later this March Quarter, targeting northern strike extensions and continuity of depth.
Caprice also notes that geological field mapping is continuing at the Comet Gold Project in addition to the establishment of gold drill targets.
Meanwhile, an aeromagnetic survey has been completed at Caprice’s Chobe Project in Western Australia, with plans for a ground gravity survey to be conducted.
Caprice Resources is an Australian exploration company with a focus on gold, copper, and niobium.
