Caprice Resources (ASX: CRS) has confirmed a more-than-1km-long regolith gold anomaly as well as additional gold mineralisation following maiden aircore, and infill aircore drilling programs at the Solis Prospect within the southern area of its Island Gold Project in Western Australia’s Murchison Region.
The infill results, taken from 39 holes for 1,146m, tightened hole spacing to 20-50m and returned gold anomalism that is consistent with the maiden program, with highlight results including:
- Hole 22IGA0088: 1m @ 3.6g/t Au from 37m
- Hole 22IGA0086: 1m @ 1.3g/t Au from 34m
- Hole 22IGA0095: 1m @ 1.0g/t Au from 17m

This infill aircore program has continued the +1km gold anomaly and, in addition, it has enabled Caprice to effectively plan deeper RC drilling to test for mineralisation in fresh rock. We look forward to assessing the depth potential within the next few weeks.”
The company also notes that the infill program has tightened the hole spacing in the main anomalous areas, providing important insights into the dip of anomalism that is present within the regolith profile.
Location of the Solis Prospect in relation to The Island Gold ProjectThe Island Gold Project is located within the Cue Goldfield of Western Australia and covers approximately 21km² of prospective tenure across two granted mining leases and one exploration licence.
The project is dominated by intercalated mafics and multiple BIF structures striking roughly north-northeast, with quartz veining associated with supergene mineralisation.
With the recent maiden drilling and additional infill drilling now complete, the company reports that it will move forward with follow-up RC drilling to give insight to mineralisation in fresh-rock and at depth, with drilling to commence in late June to early July subject to rig availability.
