Canagold Resources (TSX:CCM) reports ‘high-grade’ antimony and gold intersections from its recently completed 14-hole drilling program at the New Polaris Gold Project in northwestern British Columbia, Canada.
The company intersected 3.83% antimony (Sb) and 19.38 grams per tonne gold (Au) over 13.2m from 451.75m downhole in hole NP26-01. The hole includes 1.21m grading 30.46% Sb and 49.1g/t Au.
Additional significant results include 3.9% Sb and 14.97g/t Au over 6.06m in hole NP26-02. NP26-02 includes 0.83m grading 24.68% Sb and 29g/t Au, and 3.3% Sb and 15.08g/t Au over 3.91m in hole NP26-03.
“These results are highly significant for New Polaris, representing the highest antimony grades over the greatest widths encountered at the project to date,” CEO Catalin Kilofliski says.
“Importantly, they suggest that the scale of the antimony mineralisation may be substantially larger than we originally understood.”
The drilling program targeted the ‘high-grade’ antimony zone at the 100%-owned New Polaris Project. New Polaris is located approximately 100km south of Atlin, British Columbia, and 60km northeast of Juneau, Alaska, US.
The program was designed to further define and expand ‘high-grade’ antimony mineralisation while evaluating its potential contribution to the project’s gold resources.
The company completed 7,277m across 14 holes, with drilling intersecting multiple zones of mineralisation.
Diamond drill core samples were prepared at MSA Labs’ facility in Terrace, British Columbia, and assayed at MSA Labs’ geochemical laboratory in Langley, British Columbia.
Canagold Resources aims to advance the New Polaris project through feasibility, permitting, and production stages while expanding its asset base through advanced project acquisitions.
