Queensland focused gold explorer Pacgold (ASX:PGO) has appointed Obsidian Geological Consultants’ Bruce Kendall as the company’s geological consultant.
Kendall will be working alongside the company’s geological team with the aim of progressing the Alice River Gold Project in Queensland and making further discoveries this year.
Pacgold says he will provide specialist advice on exploration at Alice River.
Managing Director Matthew Boyes says Kendall is a results-oriented geologist with experience in discovering “world-class” deposits and understanding mineralisation systems.
“Given the results we have received from Alice River, we are confident that we control a substantial mineralised system and Bruce’s knowledge will be invaluable as we progress over 2025 to unlock the value of this project,” Boyes says.
“We continue to analyse the recent results as we firm up our exploration plans for 2025, following the end of the wet season. The entire geology team is excited by the potential of Alice River and look forward to drilling recommencing as soon as practicable.”
With over 30 years’ experience, Kendall has been managing mineral exploration from grass roots through to advanced brownfields projects, near mine exploration, resource definition and feasibility studies.
He has also held corporate management roles with companies such as AngloGold Ashanti (NYSE:AU), Chalice Mining (ASX:CHN), IGO (ASX:IGO), and Jabiru Metals.
Pacgold is a mineral explorer focused on its Alice River Project which lies at the northern end of the Northeast Queensland Mineral Province. The province contains several multi-million ounce gold deposits including Pajingo, Mt Leyshon, Kidston, and Ravenswood.
