Broken Hill Mines delivers ‘strongest operational performance’ since Rasp acquisition

Broken Hill Mines (ASX:BHM) announces record quarterly production with quarterly ore throughput at its Rasp processing plant hitting 119,320 tonnes, its highest tonnes processed since June 2020.

The company also produced 95,787 ounces of silver for the quarter, up 21.8% quarter-on-quarter. This marks its best quarterly silver production since September 2022.

Meanwhile, zinc production increased 7% from the previous quarter to 3,330 tonnes, also its highest output since March 2025.

BHM notes performance peaked in June, with the company delivering 49,700 ounces of silver, 1,075 tonnes of lead metal, and 1,380 tonnes of zinc metal from 50,075 tonnes processed at grading an average of 5.6% combined zinc and lead alongside 38 grams per tonne (g/t) silver (Ag).

Operations were further boosted in late June after achieving first ore feed from the recently restarted Pinnacles Mine, marking its first production since 2021.

Initial operations at Pinnacles are focused on restarting and expanding the Edwards open pit to access up to 50,000 tonnes of ‘high-grade’ ore in the pit floor.

The company says progressive feed ramp-ups from the Edwards open pit are planned for succeeding quarters.

BHM has also approved investment for a tailings dewatering facility to eliminate operational inefficiencies to support a processing ramp-up to 750,000 tonnes per annum at the Rasp plant.

The historical Pinnacles mineral resource estimate stands at 6.0 million tonnes at 13.5% zinc equivalent and 374g/t silver equivalent.

The company intends to release an updated resource estimate incorporating recent extensive drilling in late 2026.

Full June quarterly production and financial figures will be released later this month (July 2026).

Broken Hill Mines is a mining company consolidating historic silver, lead, and zinc operations in New South Wales.
