Black Cat Syndicate (ASX:BC8) announces it has ‘high-grade’ intercepts from infill and extensional reverse circulation (RC) drilling at the Speedy deposit within the Coyote Gold Operation in Western Australia.
A total of 15 RC holes have been completed at the Speedy deposit. The first two holes returned ‘high-grade’ gold results consistent with what can be expected from Speedy.
The mineralised zones are as modelled and sit on the northern limb of Speedy.
Results include:

- 1m @ 9.97 g/t Au from 131m; and
- 4m @ 17.65 g/t Au from 161m

- 1m @ 12.70 g/t Au from 94m;
- 1m at 6.53 g/t Au from 154m; and
- 1m @ 13.30 g/t Au from 162m
Coyote is hosted within a parasitic anticline within the larger folded Coyote sequence. Gold is hosted both within the fold hinge and the limbs as stratigraphic parallel gold veins.
Veins generally range in scale from 1cm to 10cm, and often form as swarms. These veins frequently display ‘bonanza’ grades. Mineralisation occurs within multiple stratigraphic horizons and is not closed off along strike, down plunge or at depth.
Drilling will focus on extensional and infill drilling to simultaneously grow and upgrade the existing ‘high-grade’ resources.
Commenting on the results, Black Cat’s Managing Director, Gareth Solly said: “The first results from our initial RC drilling at Speedy are encouraging with mineralised structure in line with what we expected and in the modelled location.

Likewise, the diamond core into Kavanagh also shows mineralised structures in the predicted locations with visible gold.
Both Speedy and Kavanagh have strong potential for resource growth and extensional and infill drilling will continue throughout 2022.”
Speedy is a near surface set of stacked, high-grade quartz veins centred around the Coyote anticline. Mineralisation occurs sub-parallel to bedding on both limbs, as well as within the hinge of the fold of the anticline.
The southern limb veins steeply dip to the south at around 85 degrees, while the northern limb veins dip north at around 25 degrees.
Key pillars are in place for Black Cat to become a multi operation gold producer at its three 100% owned operations. The three operations are the Coyote Gold Operation, Paulsens Gold, and Kal East Gold Project.
