Belararox (ASX:BRX) is ready to begin a 6,000m drilling program within the TMT Project in Argentina, as the first drill rig is onsite.
The drilling program is targeting prospective copper porphyry targets, firstly starting with the Malambo target. The program is expected to be completed in April next year.
Belararox says once the first drill pad at Malambo is completed, drilling operations will begin.
Civil contractor Brig is finalising the access road, which has been inspected by drilling contractors Conosur Drilling. Brig will be mobilising a second dozer to site later this week, which will allow for work to continue on two fronts.
The first dozer will complete drill pad one at Malambo and continue the development of the remaining three drill pads at the target, while the second dozer will progress road access to ensure drilling can start on the Tambo South target holes in January 2025.
Further, a second rig will be mobilised to site in the coming weeks to ensure both drill rigs and associated equipment are in place and ready for drilling operations to begin as soon as possible.
Exploration Director Jason Ward says these milestones position the company strongly to achieve its goal of completing the 2024/2025 drilling program safely and efficiently by April next year.
