Belararox survey eyes new copper targets at Kalahari Project

Belararox (ASX:BRX) has flagged additional targets at its Kalahari Copper Project (KCP) in Botswana following airborne electromagnetic (AEM) surveying across northern tenements PL0773 and PL2743.

Initial interpretation of survey data highlights ‘strong’ geological continuity of the prospective contact from MMG’s (HKG:1208) adjacent Khoemacau mining district, as well as Sandfire Resources’ (ASX:SFR) Motheo mining district.

CEO Will Dix says the further interpretation of the AEM data reinforces the ‘large number of high-quality’ targets to drill test within the project.

“We are now focused on getting the drill rig to site and kicking off our initial drilling program,” Dix adds.

The KCP covers approximately 3,900km2 east and south of Maun and is close to MMG’s Khoemacau copper production hub, which produces approximately 50,000 tonnes of copper metal annually and is currently expanding to 130,000 tonnes.

Belararox recently awarded an initial drilling contract to Rots Drill Exploration, an affiliate of Major Drilling (TSX:MDI), with rig mobilisation expected within two weeks.

The company has also completed ionic soil geochemical sampling over selected areas within PL0773 and PL2743, with results expected in approximately six weeks.

BRX is assessing additional areas for surface geochemistry, with work expected to commence before the end of this month (July).

Belararox also notes shareholders approved the company’s name change to Vantage Metals (ASX:VAN) at a general meeting last week, effective 17 July 2026.

[The name change] represents the start of a new book for the company, not just a new chapter, with the full reset now complete and an exciting six to 12 months ahead for Vantage Metals,” Dix says.

Belararox is a mineral explorer with a portfolio of projects in Argentina and Botswana, targeting copper, gold, and other metals.
