Belararox confirms porphyry-style target at TMT Project

Belararox (ASX:BRX) has confirmed a potential porphyry-style target via rock chip and talus sampling at its Toro-Malambo-Tambo (TMT) Project in Argentina.

The company reports the most prospective, central part of the Malambo porphyry system is characterised by a “large and coherent” molybdenum-in-rock-and-talus anomaly that exceeds 1,000m by 650m.

Belararox says the Malambo geochemical results are interpreted to show the geochemical zoning characteristics of the upper parts of a copper-gold porphyry system.

Managing Director Arvind Misra says Belararox’s confidence in TMT’s potential has been bolstered.

“With peak anomalous surface values hitting 2,360 parts per million (ppm) copper, 35ppm silver, 1,720ppm molybdenum, 632ppm zinc, and 467ppm lead, Malambo represents a significant opportunity for investors keen on tapping into substantial copper/gold discoveries in San Juan, Argentina, a region renowned for its porphyry deposits,” he says.

Meanwhile, Exploration Director Jason Ward says the results show classic porphyry-style alteration and zonation at Malambo.

“We are now working on integrating and interpreting the datasets in 3D to guide us in defining drill targets,” he says.

Belararox plans to conduct a comprehensive 3D geochemical analysis of results from Toro North, Toro Central, Toro South, Malambo, and Tambo in due course.

Once completed, the company will conduct environmental baseline studies to ensure compliance with flora and fauna regulations, as well as interpret regional geophysics data.

Further, the company will also advance water permits for drilling operations and complete reviewing environmental impact assessments to expand Malambo’s drilling permits to over 5,000m, as well as acquire a new drill permit for Tambo of 3,000m.

This is expected to be completed in the coming months.

Once complete, Belararox will finalise the selection process for drilling contractors.
