Belararox confirms massive sulphides at Belara project from phase one RC drilling

Belararox (ASX:BRX) has reported massive sulphide mineralisation from Phase One RC resource drilling at its Belara Project in New South Wales.

Two holes from the program (BLRC009 and BLRC011), which was carried out on previously un-drilled areas, confirmed continuity of the grade and width of mineralisation in accordance with historical resource model interpretations, with key results over 1% zinc equivalent including:

    • Hole BLRC011:
      • 17.0m @ 3.25% Zn equivalent from 81.0m (0.94% Zn, 0.52% Cu, 0.27% Pb, 10.79 g/t Ag and 0.21 g/t Au); inc.
        • 3.0m @ 10.21 % Zn equivalent from 81.0m (3.84% Zn, 1.15% Cu, 1.10% Pb, 43.87 g/t Ag and 0.77 g/t Au)
    • Hole BLRC009:
      • 3.0 m @ 7.82% Zn equivalent from 101.0m (0.73% Zn, 2.02% Cu, 0.21% Pb, 18.27 g/t Ag and 0.39 g/t Au)
      • 1.0m @ 1.68% Zn equivalent from 108.0m (0.63% Zn, 0.28% Cu, 0.08% Pb, 2.90 g/t Ag and 0.06 g/t Au).

Addressing the results, Belararox Managing Director Arvind Misra said: “We are delighted with the first assay results from our Phase One drilling program, which confirm massive sulphide mineralisation at Belara.

We are delighted with the first assay results from our Phase One drilling program”

Today’s results are important, even at this early stage, as they represent another significant step forward in building a significant resource at the Belara project and provide more confidence in the continuity of the grade and width of massive sulphide mineralisation in undrilled areas.

We will continue to update shareholders with assay results over the coming weeks as our team works to rapidly deliver a Mineral Resource Estimate in early H2 2022.”

The company notes that mineralisation encountered in hole BLRC009 delivered comparable combined metal content to the interpretation provided by the project’s historic resource model.

Further results from hole BLRC011 proved to be wider, with similar zinc equivalent grades to the historic resource model. This ultimately delivered twice the volume of combined metal content.

Data also shows that the holes are surrounded by disseminated pyrite and pyrrhotite, providing additional confirmation that exploration targets generated from geophysical data may deliver similar mineralisation to the Belara mine area.

Moving forward, Belararox reports that it expects to begin announcing results from 1,551 pending assays over the coming six weeks, with 16 RC holes totalling 3,084m remaining to be drilled by July.

In addition, resource estimation studies are also expected to commence July.
