Australian Rare Earths (ASX:AR3) has received regulatory approval for its exploration program for the Environment Protection and Rehabilitation (EPEPR) application, enabling the company to recommence uranium drilling at its 8,000km2 Overland Uranium Project in South Australia.
With the approvals now in place, Australian Rare Earths has engaged a drilling contractor with mobilisation scheduled for April 2026.
The drill program is designed to test two priority sedimentary-hosted uranium target zones previously defined in November 2025, with the drilling designed to confirm mineralisation continuity, thickness, and lateral extent of the target zones.
Managing Director Travis Beinke says that the work completed in November 2025 confirmed uranium mineralisation and defined the key target zones and the company is now ready to test that potential.
Australian Rare Earths is working on a dual-commodity strategy, advancing the Koppamurra Rare Earths Project in parallel with its work at Overland.
The Koppamurra project is currently focused on a Prefeasibility Study and pilot plant planning.
“With two critical minerals projects in South Australia — rare earths and uranium — AR3 is positioned to pursue a parallel development and discovery strategy,” Beinke says.
“Our strengthened balance sheet enables us to advance both opportunities in a disciplined way, providing shareholders with diversified exposure to strategically important commodities.”
Australian Rare Earths is a diversified critical minerals company, focused on meeting the growing demand for rare earths and uranium.
