Austmine is partnering with the Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade) on the Southeast Asia (SEA) Sustainable Mining METS Engagement Program.
As part of the program, Austmine and Austrade will deliver a complementary market readiness series focused on preparing Australian METS companies for entering the Indonesian market.
Indonesia is by far the largest mining market in Southeast Asia, and are a world leader in coal, nickel, copper, gold, among other minerals.
A plethora of opportunities are available for METS companies to develop new business and support the sustainable development of the mining industry in Indonesia, including in emerging areas such as nickel processing and refining, underground mining, and digitisation of operations.
This training program seeks to equip participants with the critical knowledge and tools needed to pursue business growth in Indonesia’s mining sector.
It will cover essential considerations for METS companies, including understanding local operational priorities and procedures, navigating cultural and business challenges, and designing effective market entry strategies that support sustainable, long-term success.
METS companies are invited to participate in this three-part online program by completing an application form by today (20 June).
Registrations are limited to 20 Australian METS companies and successful companies will be notified of their enrolment week commencing 23 June 2025.
