Auric Mining (ASX:AWJ) reports that it is moving forward with multiple exploration activities across its extensive Western Australia-based project portfolio.
The exploration activities include an inaugural 220-hole aircore (AC) drilling campaign at the company’s recently acquired Chalice West Project, which will seek to identify Chalice Gold Mine analogues and for other minerals, such as nickel, lithium, and rare earth elements (REE).
The Chalice West Project was recently acquired from well-known local geologist John Williams via his vehicle Mineral Business Development following completion of the option agreement.

The company also notes that it has also applied for a new tenement (E15/1925) at its Chalice West Project, following the successful completion of a recently conducted heritage survey and approval of the Program of Works (PoW) application for the upcoming drilling operation.
This new tenement, if approved, will increase the Chalice West Project area from 344km-square to 408km-square and cover the granite dome, which separates the Chalice Gold Mine and Chalice West Project, representing a potential analogue to the Pioneer Dome.
In addition, it is reported that the company has commenced mining permitting activities and discussions with toll mills and Main Roads at its Jeffreys Find Project, with hopes of conducting an open pit mining campaign alongside BML Ventures (ASX:BLM).
Auric also announces that its application for tenement E15/1688 for its neighbouring Spargoville Project is expected to be granted in the early September of 2022.
All of Auric’s prospective projects, including the recently acquired Chalice West Project, are located within the Widgiemooltha area of Western Australia with the Widgiemooltha, Jeffreys Find, and Spargoville projects, holding a combined total of 16 granted tenements, including 6 mining leases and 9 applications for a total area of 91km-square, with Auric owning 100% of all tenements.
The projects are easily accessed by the Eyre and Coolgardie-Esperance Highways and situated more than 45km north / north-east of the Galileo Mining’s (ASX:GAL) highly prospective Norseman Project.
Auric Mining announces that the inaugural drilling campaign at Chalice West has been scheduled for mid-October and will be overseen by Kalgoorlie-based drilling contractor Kennedy Drilling.
