Augustus Minerals (ASX:AUG) is set to launch an airborne versatile time domain electromagnetic survey over three key areas at its Ti-Tree Project in Western Australia.
The survey, to be undertaken by UTS Geophysics, is scheduled to begin in August.
Augustus, which has a market capitalisation of $5.44 million, says the survey will cover the Money Intrusion prospect, which is prospective for copper-nickel-PGE mineralisation, and the Copper Ridge and Nics Bore targets, which previously returned anomalous copper drilling results.
From there, the survey will move to the Coo Creek prospect, where drilling identified anomalous zinc-lead-silver mineralisation in 2023, and the Munaballya Well North area, which shows potential for economic uranium mineralisation.
Augustus says the survey will help advance the potential of Ti-Tree to host economic mineralisation of multiple commodities.
General Manager of Exploration Andrew Ford says the survey will provide key targeting data over three prospective but different prospects.
“Whilst the high prospectivity for copper mineralisation has been well documented, the addition of uranium and Broken Hill base metal style mineralisation highlights the quality of the underexplored Ti-Tree Project,” he says.
The survey results are expected to be returned in mid-September.
Meanwhile, soil sampling will continue and is expected to be completed in late-July. Diamond drilling at the Minnie Springs copper-molybdenum prospect is planned to kick off in late-August.
Augustus Minerals is a critical minerals explorer focused on its 3,600km2 tenement package in the Gascoyne region of Western Australia. The company’s assets are considered prospective for lithium, rare earths, and copper.
