Askari Metals Uis Polymetallic Project in Namibia

Askari expands Uis pipeline with seven new pegmatite targets

Askari Metals (ASX:AS2) has identified seven new high-priority pegmatite targets at its Uis Project in Namibia.

Through in-house hyperspectral analysis, the project’s pipeline has expanded materially ahead of next quarter’s reverse circulation (RC) drilling program.

The new targets include large-scale prospects K10 (interpreted strike length of 3.1km), GP (2.4km), and Tawny (2.2km). Askari has also commenced mapping and rock-chip sampling to rapidly convert the new target inventory into trench-ready prospects.

Uis is emerging as a polymetallic pegmatite project offering exposure to tin, tantalum, lithium, rubidium, and caesium.

The seven new targets comprise four on EPL 7345: Eve (1.7km strike), GP (2.4km), MW (0.9km), and K10 (3.1km). These include three on EPL 8535: Tawny (2.2km), Martial (1.7km), and Zebedeus-1 (1.4km).

The company has focused regional soil and geochemical sampling campaigns on the 15km by 5km ‘Corridor of Interest’ striking northeast-southwest. These programs will commence following completion of detailed prospect mapping and rock-chip sampling campaigns.

D’Anna says the commissioning of on-site analytical equipment is expected to materially improve assay turnaround times as multiple workstreams advance in parallel.

With field programs active on the ground, RC drilling set to commence next quarter on the DP, OP, PS and K9 pegmatite targets, and further trenching planned to expand the broader pipeline, we see a strong stack of near-term catalysts at Uis that we believe can continue to build momentum and unlock value, Executive Director Gino D’Anna says.

Askari Metals is a focused African exploration company with a portfolio of gold and critical minerals projects in Ethiopia and Namibia.
